Andrew Hume
Coach
With 20 years of experience at Board, CEO and Executive level, Andrew understands the challenges leaders face. Most recently, as CEO, he led the successful financial and cultural turnarounds of two not-for-profits in early childhood education. His breadth of experience encompasses retail products and services, company owned operations and franchising, For Profit and Not For Profit organisations, Alliances and Joint Ventures; and international markets in Europe, Oceania and Asia. He has managed both large P&Ls (up to $1.5b revenue, $600m opex), growth programs ($200m capex), mergers and acquisitions (>$200m business value) and complex partnering and stakeholder relationships. Andrew coaches and mentors CEO’s and Executives and their teams – those that undertake the monumental task of leading others and organisations. He supports leaders and teams in getting to the heart of who they are, supporting them to lead authentically and marry this with what the organisational context requires. Andrew’s coaching approach is informed by his years in ‘the arena’. It is pragmatic and flexible to help individuals and teams achieve outcomes within the fast paced, high pressure and unpredictable environments that they wrestle with. He subscribes to a world without silver bullets and where conflict can be productive. He has an affinity with the power of the next step and a belief that there is no substitute for learning by doing.
